Synopsis & Storyline
Goopy Geer (1932)
Goopy Geer is a 1932 Merrie Melodies cartoon featuring Goopy, a tall and cheerful dog who works as a pianist and entertainer at a nightclub. The short focuses on music, singing, and dance, which were common features of early sound-era cartoons.
Goopy appeared in only three cartoons in 1932. He later returned briefly in Bosko in Dutch (1933) before the character was retired after Rudolf Ising left Warner Bros.
