It is there where she encounters Ben, a levelheaded and resourceful man who grabs leadership as more people come forward as survivors, with the fighter Harry Cooper and his sick daughter Karen.
In the evening, the undead attack becomes worse. Survival instincts conflict with fear and ego in the house leading to an increase in tensions. The novel develops to a mind-blowing and violent ending that will leave a mark.
